Hey all, would just like your views on a photo I have edited from the VW meet yesterday, I got the idea from the Ecurie25 website from looking at the wallpapers on the site, I have interpreted their idea a little and come up with my own take on it, but I am just not sure it really works to my liking.

I know photography is all about personal preference and everyones tastes are different but would just like some other views that might help me to make the photo a little more appealing.

I have tried making the foreground light colour too, but that looks even less appealing, to me anyhow.

As Bob seems short of an opinion today...

I think spot colour works on some occasions and not on others. In this case my mind associates the Ferrari body colour with red so the picture looks wrong. The bodywork looks somewhat grey and washed out, playing with levels or curves may beef up the contrast a bit to go with the strong red of the plastic lens. Now if you were to do the same spot colour thing with the Ferrari cylinder heads or the back of a Lotus it might be a different matter.

Not to mention the onion competition. I ate onions till they came out my ears for weeks, and Ive still got onions left.

Can't say i like that too much megy...

I can't put my finger on exaclty why, but it's probably a combination of reasons. I think perhaps the amount of colour relative the the rest of the image is too great - maybe i'd prefer a more subtle effect.

Or an unexpected twist with pizzazz, like flames shooting out the back of the light...

Well..... not what I had in mind. Flames out of the exhaust might work for a bit of spot colour though!
