Rear screen replacement

Had a very favourablbe quote on a new rear screen, but the guy needs to know if the frame can be seperated from the material. Can anyone shed any light on this? ooh the cost-- a mere 60 quid! he does a lot of sports cars and was recommended to me and he`s local.
