Diff rebuild - who to use?
Discussion
The diff in my 98 Chimaera has a bit of a whine to it and as I'm doing the full chassis makeover this winter it seems a good time to sort the lad out.
Who is the best person to rebuild the unit? I know it's not rocket science and I could probably do it myself but I don't really have the time due to the Mexico rebuild.
Help me out fellas!
Ta, Corin

CTS have just rebuilt my GKN diff, pretty good turnaround and an excellent reputation - VERY cost effective, too!
yup! Bernie was the only person to confidently diagnose a noise on my ex's griff 500, and fixed it. Has been perfect ever since. There are people who claim to be able to rebuild diffs and obviously can't .. then there's CTS ..I've never had a bad rebuild off them ever! very happy to recommened them 110%
Hardy Engineering have huge experience and they'd be my first stop www.hardyengineering.co.uk/content_contact.htm

How is it sounding now Sean?
Superb - no clonks at all from the drivetrain, just positive takeup all the time. It needs bedding in a little (all new bearings) before I can give it full beans and no hint of whine either, although there was no noise from it before the rebuild. £394 inc VAT and a years unlimited mileage warranty

I used them for my Wedge diff a couple of years back - at the time CTS were snowed under. I was very hapy with the result. I understand that Austec use them as well.
