.........if the rights for certain models would be available to buy, such as the Cerbera, Griffith etc. That way you could re-manufacture and re-badge them as something totally different but keeping them seperate to TVR.

Claire, did you know anything about the Griffith development, where they got the idea for the shape etc? I heard a rumour about a vehicle called the Pegasus, does that ring any bells?

Nope - it came from the Speed 8/V8S design IIRC - I can check with JR next time I talk to him - or to Dorothy Cureton. I havent got a Ouija board or I would ask Dad.

I can't see NS being keen to sell anything to somebody who would then be setting up in direct competition and taking lots of brand loyalty with them.

Well if that is Stuart Halstead , his time at TVR was certainly a much better era than it is now.He & his team were interested in the customer - recent management seem to forget that customer is king.I for one would like to see him have a go.

When I heard the factory news I ferreted on the WWW, found an excellent Cobra replica (takes the LSx engines, like the LS7 which is well over 500 bhp). The chassis looked rather TVR like and its just ripe for a Griffith (with a hint of AMV8) bodyshell on that chassis
