fekking weather!
Discussion
Sad as it sounds and much to mrs zebra's amusement I am attempting to get through November without having the roof on the car; have to admit that this morning was the worst to date - bright and sunny yes, bloody freezing though (thermal top and beanie didn't make a vast amount of difference even at low speed) However, I absoloutely love the sound of the car in cold weather. Driving at night seems to be the biggest issue albeit the most fun - coming out of newcastle at night has resulted in a number of chavs (god, I hate the little B******s) calling me a tossa. Now fairs fair, perhaps I am, but at least get to know me before you question my pesronality, could be worse, I could be dutch.
Can I make it all the way to the December? Long range weather forecast looks good.

You're a braver man than I am.
I haven't had the hood down since the first week of September. Even then it was for a very short period as my young daughter protested at it being cold.
Driving out of Newcastle in November though, at night, with no roof on/hood up...I can imagine you don't hear most of the comments being passed (muttered under their breath) by people in other cars! I confess I'd probably mumble something to myself if I witnessed it!
Only old MG drivers can get away with that, or Austin Healey 3000's perhaps!

Made it from late Nov through to Feb the years I had the Chimaera. Every day it wasn't raining/snowing lid was off heater on full. Used to get some strange looks from people sitting in the traffic jam at Cradlewell.
Its strange I actually miss driving with the lid off in winter, not really bothered about the summer months.
Cerb goes everywhere with the windows down unless is chucking it down

Zeb, I'm pretty sure I say you the other night on the way out of Newcastle. Do you go down the central motorway and across the tyne bridge?
Depends which day it was? I know there's another red 111r (non piston head) who has similarf routes to me - was my roof off?

I can't take the TVR out as I haven't paid the rent for the next 6 months. Nor do I intend to. Unless I get this new job in which case I may need the transport.
However, I have been riding the Honda tonight, so that makes me well'ard
In fact I'll be hard until I thaw out, which should be around 3 AM. Heated grips may keep your hands warm, now it's time for heated knees...

Yeah that was what i noticed. Though theres always a chance he's as daft as you and had his roof down too

Stop it! You're all making me feel jealous. At least my 944 used to have a big lifty off s/roof which was like a targa roof. Now I have a car with no hole in the roof at all, and well, the other car is a Mondeo
Hell, it was only the other day I was even contemplating a cheap MX5 for next spring just for the crack, but I always think deep down it's a bit pf a womans car, contrary to it being a great drivers car apparently

Sounds like you need something hairy-chested, like a TVR wedge
