Just interested in your feedback on yesterdays salute to the Tvr workforce. I admired all the well groomed Tvrs outside Pontins. It came to my attention that I counted approx 50 cars in the area at about 1230 pm, I wondered how many miles everybody travelled that day and whether anyone broke down, my feeling was that yesterday was attended by enthusiasts who maintain their pride and joys well, I travelled in a 4.0 Chimaera 98,clocking 200 miles round trip no problems, my 83 year old mum had a fantastic day to remember, our thanks go to all helpers, especially Mr & Mrs Ntel.

552 miles round trip from Chelmsford; the Griff went like a bloody train, mind you it had to to keep up with those two nutters in the pearl white and orange Cerberas

Me and Dot had to push a blue chimaera, that had the old hot start problem, at the bottem end of Bristol Ave. Thank god it wasn't captured on Camera! We also heard a bystander saying to his mate,"I thought TVRs were unreliable, I've not seen one break down yet". hehe

Thanks Keith, good to make your acquaintance, too. If anything, Friday's events have strenghened my resolve to buy another new TVR. The Tuscan vert is stunning, however I'm still hanging on in fervent expectation of a targa topped Sagaris (with rear facing exhausts!) lick

I did a 140 mile round trip the chimp didn't miss a beat.
I parked in the drive back home and stoped the engine.
opened the garage and tried to start the engine No joy.
Got it in bits now in the garage not sure what it is going to try resetting the ECU.

But she did me proud on the run.

It was me shout start you bastard curse thanks for the push mrs ntel it was an alarm problem not a hot start problem because i turned it off a couple of times after when it was reading 95 degrees and it started first time, even after sitting for over an hour around Hilton park services in the friday night traffic, so time for a new one otherwise 280 trouble free miles.

Just short of 500 miles round trip, mostly at an "enthisiastic" pace.
Not a hiccup or a missed beat.

We travelled just short of 500 miles in my 99 Chimaera. It didn't miss a beat (what's more, it hasn't missed a beat since it was born in September 99! spin It loves the cold air and this was a rare occasion where the roads were clear almost all the way too! clap

Its good to know that Tvrs are mechanically reliable, just reading through the postings, the old addage; you look after them they look after you! What a day at Blackpool, The workers smiled, the owners grinned and the Tvrs loved every minute, raring to go, they are almost human!
