i currently own a tvr T350t which iv had 6 months and its great, i love it, so much fun to drive, makes an amasing noise and looks gorgeous.
but i have an appetite for changing my cars often, im 21 and on car 5, now the tvr is damn quick, and insurance with 3 points and 3 years no claims is £1300. which is alright.
but my question is would i get enough of a buzz from changing to a noble? i must say the interiors are way behind TVR but im looking for the overall driving experience.
i dont want replies slagging TVR because iv heard it all before, the factory closure doesnt bother me or influence my decision either.
the one thing i hate about the noble, is the godawful mondeo tail lights, they let the car down, so if i bought one i'd need to find alternative rear lights, is there alternatives?
and could i use it to do 8000 miles a year, daily driving, also do some track days.
anything in particular to avoid/look for when looking at used?

2. Yes, two UK versions plus another in the US (not legal here)
3. Yes, many here exceed that mileage with ease as a daily drive. Remember that track days accelerate wear & tear on any car.

Aside from being insanely jealous of being in your position... yes, I think it's worth trying a Noble - different to the TVR, but I think any car nut should have one (I need to sell another kidney or my soul first)

I did Cerb - Noble and drove "the best sorted 350 in the country sir" for a significant distance.
I think you'd love the Noble (unless you need the space in the back of the TVR). It's more alive, responsive and controllable at the limit at least as fast in a straight line and significantly quicker in the bends.
Track days you'd really feel the difference.

Insurance on the TVR's is so much easier than a Noble ..... i wrote off my old Cerbera and replaced it with a TVR T350 but was looking for a Noble 3R.
The T350 is £580 to insure but the cheapest i could get the Noble for was over £1200
I was told that there were a higher % of total loss claims on Nobles than TVR's ..... i guess its due to the very limited numbers of cars so 2 or 3 total loss or high value claims must equal about 30-45 individual insurance premiums?

i am very keen on the noble, it has alot of presence about it thats for sure. but not till next july till i get my 4th year of no claims and my last 3 points are removed from licence, had 10 points to start with, oooops
i live in one of the cheapest postcode areas in the Uk for insurance, luckily.
also garaged at night out of town aswell.

Ross, I definitely love those lights. I know you did them yourself any probs? Are they tail blazers underneath or something else?

Was fairly straight forward to fit but just takes allot of time, patients and nerves of steel to cut up your p&j. I have pictures of the process if your interested?
They are Afterburners from Vegantune, speak to Richard and wave some cash his way and he will do you a deal.

Vaguely remembered you had to cut up said p&j, not sure if I can bring myself to do that yet, especially as I don't get it 'till Saturday. Maybe I'll try to find a way of fitting the perspex smoked cover to something that fits the car. As it's gunmetal I think a smoked lens would look really cool. Sad man that I am!!!!

Privilege (34 5yrs NCB 2 non fault claims) £714. It actualy droped last yr it was £950.

i think its simply because us young ones are much better drivers

i think its simply because us young ones are much better drivers
insurance companys must think the same thing.Mine's £495 and I'm ancient
I've gone from a Tuscan to a Noble. Both are similar weight have much the same performance, but the Noble is much more sorted in terms of on-the-limit handling. The motor is also more likely to last 10's of thousands of miles and, if it does go pop, it's a Ford lump so easy to get hold of.
The roll over cage is much less intrusive in the Noble than the T350 too. I find it a much more comfortable car to drive than any of my TVRs were.
As others will tell you, check out the history. Buy a tracked car by all means but check it has the optional track sump.

I recently chopped in my beloved Cerb for a M12. So far I can see the Noble is Awesome, especially when you look at what you are getting for the same price in a TVR.
I like the way the wheel doesn't want to rip your arms off at those higher speeds. The engine is robust and because of the simpleness of the ancillary items (wind-up windows) there seems less to go wrong. The Webmistress had a Tamora, which always seemed like it was going to break (reading posts associated with T350/Tamora/Sagaris - they all do that sir, its a TVR!).
The Noble has a different prescence from TVRs, but mine seems to turn even more heads.

I'm 29 with 4 yrs NCB and 3 points and I pay £950 for my M400. Insurance is a very mixed bag, depending on where you live. If you're looking to buy, drop me a line...I may be selling near your preferred purchase date.
