Off to Hong Kong - what kit to take, and what to buy there..
Discussion
Hi guy's,
Off to Hong Kong on Friday for a week or so, and have the age old dilema - what do I take.
So far I've definatley decided to take the DSLR but can't decide whether to just take the 18-50 lens of tek my 75-300 as well.
Can't really see me using the 75-300 but you never know..... - what do you think?
Not taking a tri-pod, battery charger (will take 4 fully charged batts with me) or any of the other little bits and pieces I never seem to use.
And finally, anyone got any recommendations for places to buy 'cheaper' kit? - I'm quite liking Canon EF 200mm f2.8L USM and a 1.4x converter.
Thanks in advance.
Chris

If you are only going to take one lens then take the widest one you have. Hong Kong has narrow streets and tall buildings so the wider the better. Great for shots from the Peak too.
If you don't take a full size tripod then at least get a Mini one from jessops or something. This way you can use a wall as support.
I would take the charger with you, just in case.
This link is really useful to get an idea of prices:

Make sure you go to lots of different stores and haggle.
Have a good time!
