Wiper Blades

Found out on the way home last night that mine are utterly crap. Windscreen smearers would be a more apt name. Does anyone know what car they come from as I'm fairly confident that the little flipbook on the shelf at Halfords won't list my car.

Alternatively has anyone got a link to the parts list as I lost in when my laptop took a nosedive.

Best bet is to measure them and buy replacements of the same size.

Get a cheap passenger side one that's got a metal frame, as with a bit of care you can bend it to fit the screen curvature.

I'd measure both sides, they are different sizes on mine.

I bought the Bosch blades with spoilers and they are excellent I also have the later Chim windscreen washers which pour the water from the wipers themselves which is also a big improvement. Oh and you will need to measure them I have no idea which car they are from

I've had a look at that setup you've got there Mike. Was it a tricky job?

I've had a look at that setup you've got there Mike. Was it a tricky job?

The only tricky bit was getting your hand behind the glove box and pushing the pipe through, apart from that it was a piece of p$$$. If I can do it Doug, anyone can! I broke off the nozzle, leaving the tube behind the dash, I located the tube, pushed it through inserted the 'T' joint and bingo attache the other tubes and job done

I hear that Lidl are selling wiper blades at £1.99 a set!

Would not matter if they are not Bosche at that price, just change them quarterly for new ones.

Tescos £3.50 had a set on the ranger,no probs and as previous post at that price I'd be happy to get 1 winter out of them.

I wouldnt, when the system is as bad as the S you need the best wiper blades you can get or you might as well not bother at all?? AFAIK the bosch blades with spoilers were only about £7 anyway, could be wrong
?

Not that I drive it much in the rain, but since I changed the blades the wipers actualy stick to the screen, amazing...

Yes on reflection your probably right ,fitted a set of Bosch to the wifes 206 and they are excellent.

Where did you get the Bosch spoiler ones in the right size, my local Halfords doesnt sell them in less than 18 inch?

Anyone got a VAG car as their daily driver? The 'floppy' wipers they use would be good for the curvature of the S screen. Wonder if you can buy them anywhere.....

I have a Touareg and yes the floppy wipers are absolutely superb and would fit the S screen great, but its a whole new set up as the arms are very different too. They cost about £35 each though, not sure they are worth the extra money over the Bosch ones!

As for where to get Bosch spoiler wipers from, I got them from my local Unipart motor factors, I have spoilers bothe sides too as they sell them in singles. We have them on the wifes Figaro and they have made a big difference on that car too.
