I don't think I'm going to be able to get the day off work. I need to speak to the boss tomorrow. Will that be too late to book the flights? Ads

Yes, it would mean an overnighter for us as it's a long haul and both of us off work......

Still not impossible, working on it, but have to see nearer the end of the week.....

600 mile round trip from mine = over £100 on petrol.

Plane is cheaper and much quicker plus i can have a drink
Just a quicky from us northen types,if you get to the pub first save us a few scoops.Tell the pilot to fly a little lower above M6 AFTER J20,if he wants to see TVRs melting tarmac.

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier Martin. I have been snowed under today. Not going to be able to get the time off work, which is a bummer. I was looking forward to joining everyone too.

Glad you have your flights booked. Wish everyone well for Friday.

Tracey: Sorry to have to blow out ur Ace Cafe convoy Friday

I was so looking forward to going to the ACE, they've got fireworks too on friday.

good news is that I am hopefully going to Blackpool bounce
I've had to pull in a few favours and make sure the kids get to school and get picked up, so now I've got to search for my passport and hope its not expired, and book my ticket

do we know if there are enough seats to get us to the factory???

Is there anyone from Essex who's not flying up and would like to join a convoy of one TVR from Chelmsford??!! Personally, I can't see the attraction of queuing up in Stansted for an hour at security, having your shoes checked for bombs, getting to Blackpool 6 hours before the factory shift finishes and getting home about 19 hours later!!!! Chelmsford to Bristol Avenue = 260 miles, about 4.5 hours of TVR driving pleasure and £100 (yeah, whatever!) of fuel! No contest as far as I'm concerned confused

Sorry I can't be there Tracey and support the girls' contribution to the cause, but I can't get the day off work - I would have liked to have joined you.

Had offers of 3 seats so far so we should be OK, anyway you will be OK as I think the only female going there will be a rush to offer you a spare seat anyway

- I'm going and I'm a girl - so that's 2 of us then is it?! I expect we will be able to spot each other on that basis then?! laugh

Good point and well made! I feel very proud to be one of the minority of women who are fortunate enough to be have a TVR to drive! (And of course the fact that all you blokes let me get away with it too, is an added bonus!) rofl

Looking forward to meeting you all! Off to get wake the car up and get it spruced up! bowtie clap Wishing everyone a safe, congestion free, blast up to Blackpool! cool
