Right we bought one of these last month from Jessops at a pretty good deal, it was time to upgrade from the old Koday 2 mega pixels.

Have been very happy, it is mainly for the wife but the last few shots have had lines going across, what is that all about?

Also some have been very white, why?

Any helps appreciated otherwise it will be back to the shop for a new one. I have posted pics below as examples:

Pic with lines

Pic that is very white (note this was taken on a lovely day and other photos are fine)

You will get a better idea if you click on the pic to make it its actual size.

yes

Doesn't look like a write error, since you have the whole picture with a fault all the way across, although it would be worth trying another storage card. I'd guess that your sensor is fuggled.

I've had this exact thing on a digital camera before - the CCD was faulty - I got a 100% refund. Glad you got a result... hope it was all you were looking for.

Interesing - and strange - fault. But, fair play to Jessops sounds very good result! I've used Jessops for a few 'big' purchases and every time they have been spot on. For such a big company it really is surprising how good their service is; they must give their local managers a lot of scope!

Yes, I've changed my opinion of Jessops. I wanted a Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 and their price was a bit high. I went in with a printout of the cheapest UK price I could find on the internet. They matched it exactly.

And by the way, the lens is a cracker.
