i've donwloaded the gt3 rsr screensave onto my pc and the more i look at it the more i love it to bits.

not that i will be getting one, but how much would one of these cost to buy and where could you buy one, and how different are they to maintain and run than a normal rs? the gearbox i imagine is radically different for starters. has anyone driven one, and how did it compare to an rs (assuming you;ve driven one of those too...)

I think you'll find it is a racecar not a road car. It will probably have several lifed components on it and an absurdly short (massive) service internal on it (compared to a road car). It will not be forgiving in any way in terms of the susp setup, etc. I think you'll also find that it will be an absolute pain to drive slowly, as the drivetrain shunt, possibly big ramp angle settings in the diff, paddle clutch, etc mean it isn't for p1ssing about on some B road.

Oh, I think they're about EUR 300k, direct from Porsche Motorsport. Flemke will prob be able to give a more definitive answer.
