Hey guys just had a new hood fitted to my 89 Cab.
When the hood is operated via the switch it tends to snag on intitial lift as it leaves the top of the screen. Can't recall if the old hood did this or not to tell you the truth.
Not sure if the 2 pins which slot in the top of the frame are miss alligned?
Can any one help is this Normal?
When the hood is put back down there are no issues.......very smooth operation.
Cheers Ed

My god you have my sympathy.

Mine also did this, 3 days it took to get it set right!

Hopefully yours will be a bit easier!

You near Yorks?

It sounds as though the bearer brackets need adjusting. They are located by the gearboxes on the inner rear quarter panels. The new roof will be tighter than the old one and so everything just needs adjusting.

Make sure you do it properly, left as it is or adjusted incorrectly the front of the roof will catch and the upright roof rails (by your shoulder) will snap.

Hope that helps.

Hi Oliver, yes live in Sheffield mate.
Obviously a bit worried having spent major wedge on getting it replaced.
Got in touch with company who organised and they are going to deal with it with a bit of luck. Its also a bit baggy and i was told it will shrink when it has been wet a few times?

Oh your only an hour away then!

Well if you don't get anywhere let me know and either have a day trip to the coast or bung me some petrol money and I'll do it for you. (free)

Get a hosepipe on it and dry it out a few times quick then before you take it back so you'll know if it's true or not.
