A full page report on the Bertone/Ricardo tale including a strange reference to Moleskins approaching Lotus for a bit of production space. nuts

It wasn't the TVR piece itself that made me think about TVR, it was Harris' and Ruppert's columns.

Harris said:
Great cars are those that turn their irritating qualities into something worthy of celebration.

He's on about the BMW Z4M, a car described as a bit TVR-like more than once in the media. If a journalist can 'get' the Z4M for all its understeer or oversteer and nothing in between (and then call it a "great" car, maybe they might understand precisely why TVRs have such a strong following (it's not because we're masochists Mr Porter of TG rolleyes ).

Ruppert said:
The internet lets motoring nutters share opinions, however mad, and that's the problem.

Significant point of the column is the reference to the hammering VAG got over ignition coil packs and "partly as a result of owners managing to share their dismal experiences on the internet, it got sorted." Ahem.
