V8 going in a couple of weeks, with my glum state noted at home Mrs Silverback has agreed that I just have to have something to fiddle with, apart from her.

What's out there for a couple of grand, I'm able to do massive amounts of restoration work, but leggy dogs are more like it. I like S models obviously so if anyone knows of a basically sound example that I can fiddle with over the winter please let me know.

Either that or maybe a 944 porker, or 928 or what????

God, it's only been a day and although the car hasn't gone, I'm somewhat without a limb.......

Hmm, I did have a gander, good price indeed, ticks the boxes 133k though.
I'm not scared of cars with mileage but I would doubt if it was on motorways.

Best I drop the owner an email I reckon..

Seems to have been active and well used - presumably reliable - for the last two years or so. Can be better than a barn find !

Some work on Chassis done but cosmetically looks as if bags of TLC might be needed.

As he seems to have another tiv, and its winter, you might get a deal but I would want to look

oh and its green so won't be as fast !!! oops

The head/heart and wallet triangle again

There will always be another - sorry probably no help at all

I know of one near me (Central Scotland). It's pale metallic blue and an S1.5 IIRC.

Should be cheap - at least two areas of chassis rot (outriggers) but everything seems to be there. I looked at it for somebody who wanted a runner and I advised to leave this alone because of the chassis work.

No idea of asking price etc - I can find out though if you might be interested, and have a closer look if necessary.

Didn't think I would get away with it !!

Bit unfair though - with extra large pots. - I have considered but £'s are too few at the moment, and suspension is calling so we wait a little longer.

Reckon that'll be a body lift job I don't really have the facilities for major surgery...thanks for the info though, whatever I get it has to be cheap so I'll keep my eyes peeled.

HI mike,

sorry to hear about your V8s, me and a mate bought a tvr vixen to restore, but it may be a problem for us to do up because of lack of space, tools, experience. The car has a new inteerior but thats about it. Needs bodywork, a small amount of chassis work, and also an engine and gearbox, the body has been taken off. We got the car for 1800£ on ebay, if you are interested let me know.

Thanks for the offer of the vixen kostas, but I would be looking at something I could fiddle with rather than 'restore'...probably a bit too much work in my current climate - don't have the space for a body off job.

I amsure you ll find something mike, wedges are quite cheap at the moment, a mate who is a mechanic is doing a tasmin up at the moment, got it for 350£ and its in perfect condition apart form the bodywork but still very good value

S3c, 45k miles, runs perfectly, nothing major wrong but bonnet has crazing and is listed as a cat ? with the DVLA. Was hoping for a litle more than a couple of grand but might be worth a look if you're ever in Oxford.
