Couple of long exposure shots

Got a little too bored tonight, so stood in the road and took a couple of photos. Nothing too fancy, but I kinda like the translucent bonnet effect...

i messed around with, and got a similar effect to the translucent bonnet one a while back. it is tricky to get it to come out right isnt it?
one thing with yours is that once you notice the ghost of the person opening the bonnet you cant stop. i think it would be a lot better if you could attempt to remove them.

Why not cover the lens whilst your mate opens the bonnet ?

If you going to go to the effort of removing the ghost - take two photos using a tripod, one with the bonnet shut and one with it open and then use photoshop to overlay it.

Like it! Didn't think of trying to do a long exposure and open the bonnet half way through! Definitely worth doing the two pic thing.

thanks for the comments guys. As for taking 2 pics and merging them, it probably would give a better result, yeah, but it's just not as much fun, and almost a cheating way of doing it for me. I like fiddling around with the camera rather than Photoshop.

I want to try the same thing again with better lighting (the relected light off the bonnet is really annoying and a nicer background.
