How difficult can it be to change plugs...

Two things I've found make this job a lot easier.
A plug spanner with an external hex on the back, with an open ender to turn it via the hex, gives you effectively a universal joint with zero length. Also, a 1/2" drive handle with a UJ built into the end is a lot shorter than using a separate UJ with a tommy bar.

Sorted with minimal fuss, I just had to fiddle about with a few bits of hose thats all, in a bit of a bad mood all told, crazy car wouldn't start for the first time in it's life, it's as if it knows.
Then I rammed a large metal shard under my thumbnail (whilst working on wifeys astra - rear window imploded requiring a new tailgate) That hurt
Called out an auto electrician for the S, stayed in all day, he rang at 17.15 to say he couldn't make it, which meant I missed the school run for no reason. However, he is coming tomorrow....I reckon it's his immobiliser that's causing the problems, it's only been standing 3 weeks, perfect when I last drove it, turning but not firing now, it's affected the fuel pump and has a very weak spark....Still, it'll hopefully be sorted tomorrow.
I'm just wondering what the cheapest S available is at the moment, I'm sure I can squeeze a small amount for a tvr, not sure I can cope without one.....

Well, my V8 went to a great new home. The non starting was due to a relay, all fixed for about £38 which can't be faulted.
I'm about to dabble with a chimaera which I picked up for less than the S. It needs a bit of fettling, so I managed to sell the v8, put money to well deserved use, still keep a tvr and have something to fiddle with over the winter.
Hi Gaz, not that one, red doesn't do it for me, it's the same colour as yours. I haven't picked it up yet due to this numpty car dealer I'm taking to court, he's managed to focus his mind a little and come up with a replacement, so I've been sorting that out, trouble is I now have too many bloody cars, 2 astra's, a bmw touring, a chim, and a volvo S80.

Why not do a bit of what I've done, get a cheaper one, release some funds, so you still have a tvr knocking about. Must admit, I would be lost without one. Sounds daft I know, but my wife suggested I do that rather than invest the lot and be rather unbearable..

Not for those in a bad mood. thanks for the offer mate. its not just that, i feel that at the moment i am so busy the car seems to spend so much time in my garage so i thought i might put the money in a savings account and wait a few years untill i have more time and ultimately the prices for a t350 will have dropped.
