I'd like a new exhaust system. I really enjoy dealing with the Vegantune boys.

Their exhaust looks good

I've seen maps of noblemods/theyellow one vs. standard.

Does anyone have before & after maps on the (amazing sounding) vegantune exhaust?

i think the Vegantune exhaust has now lost the internal vortex thingy and is even better than it was

need to get it tested and dyno'd

Mine's going to Vegantune next week for its 36 month service. I'd be keen to know what difference there is as I'm considering asking Richard/Gary to put one on mine (decatted, of course).

Had a Roush exhaust fitted last week by Noble London and it not only looks and sounds great, it also improves the performance by 'approx' 40bhp and 40lb torque! (Dyno runs to confirm) It has been very well engineered and comes with an upgraded fuel pump and wiring loom to help prevent lean running after fitting a free flowing exhaust! The ceramic coating option helps to keep heat down, which is a good with the exhaust being right under the Intercooler!

So, in a nutshell, GET A ROUSH ONE! You won’t regret it.

Impressive, what's the dB reading at 3,000 revs?

Not sure, but it is no louder than standard @ Idle, and doesn't seem much louder when driving.....just deeper. (I have CATS on mine but is louder without)!

Anything over 98dbm fails some of UK circuits so I'd be interested to know.

Sounds about right, but Roush do track day silencers if it's louder! I'm sure Adrian W has some as he doesn't have any CATS!

Rob - I did alot of work with Trevor and noise meters with Roush exhaust, and can confirm that in standard form (with cats in situ), I have not had any problems at circuits up and down the country. Goodwood is just about the only circuit with a 98dB static (Donington is 98bdB but that's drive-by)and if you were a fan of Goodwood (which I am not) then Roush (or you) can fit some silenced tail-pipes (with or without additional baffles) which will turn you car into a stealth vehicle.
Do not bother removing the cats - you will be illegal on road, not be able to drive most UK circuits because of noise and their removal does not increase performance at all.

Thanks Rob, Goodwood is one of my favourites.

Why was the boost pressure higher, and the inlet temperature lower with the Roush exhaust?

Surely the boost should still be controlled by the wastegate/ecu, even if the exhaust is more free flowing...?

Good question, and as it wasn't my car I can't say for certain (and going against internet tradition I'm not going to hazzard a guess!), but Yellowshed will know the details.
