Attention northern PHers:

I've just booked a couple of very cheap flights from Leeds/Bradford airport to Geneva and back at www.jet2.com. Total return flights cost £49 inc taxes and cc fee for outward on the 12th and back on the 16th March if you're quick.

Rumour has it that there will be three new TVR models making their debut appearance at this event.

Geneva is a beautiful city situated on the bank of the fabulous lake Leman on the border of France and Switzerland. The motor show runs from the 8th to the 18th March 2007 and should be a treat for TVR owners and others alike.

Anyone fancy sharing the costs of a hire car for the 4 days? An Opel Vectra 4 door with aircon and manual box will be about £10/day each for 4 days.

Or for a really cheap deal, we can forget the car and book in at the Hotel Median for £25 a night each in twin rooms and be within walking distance of the airport with it's excellent free city transfer shuttle, and only 2 miles from the palexpo centre for the car show. Walking distance to the spectacular lakeside thrown in free.

The cheap hotels will fill early, so don't delay, reply today.

Myself and a few other PHers are thinking of making a weekend out of it, may well borrow your ideas and join you in the hotel, sounds rather nice.

Please do. It's one of the lowest price hotels, and probably gets a bit of aircraft noise, but the location seems pretty good.

Oh well. I'm booked for the flight, and have a 3 bed room at the Formula1 hotel, so I'll go anyway.

I really admire your optimism guys. After all that has gone on, does anyone seriously expect there to be anything from TVR at Geneva? Don't misunderstand me, I would love to see something just to show that the marque is "hibernating" and not dead, but I'm not going to hold my breath!
Perhaps if there is someone/something from TVR, they would be happy to answer questions from owners regarding the issues some people are having with their 3 year warranties?

Ofcourse we all do

TVR brought out the big guns in London last year and had a new single piece bonnet rofl

Given the nature of peoples responses these days and given the fact that anyone can sue anyone for anything, anywhere. I would like to state for the record that my sarcasm and/or sarcastic opinions are mine and mine alone and in no way reflect TVR as a company or a brand nor does it imply an opinion formed by the night shift hamster at Haymarket/Pistonheads.com

Did anyone take the initiative to use the email address on the TVR link within the Geneva motor show link! I did, thought there was no harm to ask!!
Got a reply this morning from a Mr Billinghurst bandit

"Regarding Geneva Motorshow I think this highly unlikley the Typhoon would be present .
I will check to confirm for you and let you know."

Still, some interesting exhibitors, e.g. Wiesmann and Rinspeed. U can always go skiing in Megeve as well.

I'll obviously be going as I live in Geneva.

(I think Easyjet and Flybe still fly then from Bournemouth and Southampton for about 20 quid each way.)

If you're coming give me a shout and I should be able to get you free tickets to the show.

Oooh, yes please. I'm booked on a Jet2 flight from Leeds on the 12 to the 16th. Staying at the luxurious Formule 1 hotel on the french side of the airport with a friend. Very tight budget so a pair of tickets into the show would be most welcome.
