I like the metallic brown colour that 911s used to come in I think the 70s or 80s. Looks great with chrome detailing. Is it still avail as a special retro order?

You could probably order it, but I doubt whether you'd ever be able to sell it.

Cockney brown was used a lot in the '70s......saw one in that hue at a recent Porsche show where the owner had a sign in the window....."The Austin Allegro of the Porsche world"

Are you sure????

I had a copper Bronze Mettalic Carrera 3.0 and I think it suits that period of 911 well. It might actually work ok on a newer car, as dark mettalics seem to. If your odering a new car you can probably still use the Colour to sample option to have the car sprayed in any hue you wish. But it does add a lengthy wait to your delivery time, not to metion a healthy premium which you are unlikely to recoup!!!

Unlikely is putting it mildly. There was also a similar metallic green which sets off the wavy checkered seats a treat. There is an immaculate early Turbo in the Glasgow Transport Museum which I recommend you have a look at. It was bought new by a Mr Izzi who was public-spirited enough to give it to the city (presumably when he took delivery of his 997!)
