Tracking and alignment in Norfolk/Suffolk

Anybody out there know of a good garage to set up my S1 geometry? Have changed the track rod ends and rear shocks and springs so need to get her sorted properly.

Handling is a bit light at speed around corners and I hear they are normally quite planted.

Any advice would be great, I do have all the figures from Steve Heath book but anybody know better setting?

Depends where you are in Suffolk (i.e. how close to the A14!) but I can thoroughly recommend Steve Guglielmi in Daventry. Might be a bit far for you to travel but it'd be worth it to come home with what feels like a new car

Hi,

I live in Norfolk, and have also been recommended to contact the above, which I have. I have been quoted £140-00, which seems fair enough. All I have to do is organise myself to get there. My car has also had bushes and shocks and springs, and whilst it grips and rides reasonably, it is very twitchy at times, plus my front tyre wear is uneven. Somethings definately very wrong. I used to have an S3 when it was nearly new (1992), and I could and did drive it like it was on rails, with absolute confidence in the chassis, if not the driver. Fortunately I am a bit wiser now!
