I had a 96 4.0 first then a 99/2000 4.0 the later one was much better put together and did have the edge over the earlier one,had a lot less miles on it as well(about4k compared to 32k)but that is probably true about most cars,
but I would tend to agree they all seem to drive the same, obviously dependant upon age and condition etc.

I sold that one new and a couple of times since and it does drive very well and always did type

It was ran in well by a serial TVR owner who used it every day to get to work

The later they get the better they drive I recon.

There are mechanical differences between old and new. Yes the differences will make the newer cars better handling than the older versions.

The Chassis changed in 1996 when Chimaeras adopted the Griff 500 chassis with its 10mm wider rear track and stiffer set-up.

There were engine, LSD and brake changes too that would also make for improved ride and handling.

Why try and belittle a highly regarded Indie because his advert has a couple of spelling/grammer mistakesrolleyes I think you get the jist of what they are saying in the advert..well i do.
And as for the info on it as said by a few owners and Salepersons(one of which has driven that very car) above/below are think they are probably right. ( cos we all know the Griffith chassis was better )
