Targa 996 wind deflector

Can anyone help?

I've just purchased a 2001 Targa 996 and was surprised to find that it was very noisy with the roof open as it has no wind deflector, when I checked the original brochure (book) it says 'Open it up, and an integrated wind deflector automatically extends to protect you and your passengers from turbulence and noise...' Does anyone know if this was fiited to all of them, and if not can I get it fitted now?

When the roof comes back, put you fingers out the roof on the front line - there should be a little bit of plastic, then you can move down, that runs the width of the roof.

And yes, a targe roof is noisy above about 60 ish

I'm pretty sure you have the deflector - its not something that would fall off...

might be also worth opeing one of the windows a bit, to help equalise the property.
