Finally ordered my new light on Monday and it arrrived yesterday morning. So I went out on my first night ride in years last night. Just a quick 6 miles around horsell common so I could set the light up and get a feel for riding off road at night again.
I can't wait to get up to the Look Out at Bracknell and have a go at some more technical stuff.
The only downside is that Im now hankering after a joystick to go with my enduro but I guess that'll have to wait for now.

I can also recommend checking out the Queen Elizabeth Country Park on the A3 just below Petersfield as you're in that area, being on the South Downs there's plenty to climb up / hammer down, myself and some mates ride around there every Thursday night and haven't got bored of it yet!
Was out in the Pentlands near Edinburgh last night and there were nutters everywhere with lights on their bikes. Does make it a bit more interesting though, and changing my tube iun the dark after a puncture took a touch longer than usual.
Also managed 45mph on the on road downhill on the way home.

What is the Bracknell place like - I normally do the downs nr my house in Chiddingfold nr Godalming. Great tech bits, steep hills, rocks, mud etc.. but fancy checking out Bracknell.
The look out is very good, loads on singletrack and all very well managed, no really big hills, but plenty of technical bits and pieces. However don't forget that as its private land you should get a permit, how many people actually do I don't know, but £15 per years not bad to use such a great area.
