That is mad!

I have a rear light, but no front (just a reflector thingy) I was told by a police officer a few years ago that just a reflector was ok and obviously rear light?

I haven’t a bellcry, but exceptionally squeaky brakes. I just use them

I nearly fell off my chair when I read it! I too have squeaky brakes and rely on them (and a bit of shouting ) to get people out the way.

I could be in serious trouble as I've got no bell, no relectors and no lights I tend to stick to off road in day light though

BiB still has to do you properly (ie as if you were in charge of a motor vehicle) for being under the influence, there's nothing wrong with not having a bell, and there's nothing wrong with having a flashing rear light. What's the beef?

Edited to add: Oh, now I've re-read the thread, it's the disparity between the two that is daft. Sorry, blame Stella wobble
