Other than going doen the Cobra / Corbeau / Recaro route, what seats would be suitable for a classic Mini?
Basically we're after some seats that:
a) look good
b) are supportive
c) are comfortable
d) aren't too expensive
Am I asking too much??

We have friends that have put seats in their cars (albeit in Land Rovers) that have come out of other vehicles and meet the criteria above.

Any recommendations?
Cheers

Put the interior (half leather) from a later model Cooper in my '67 Bitza, nice comfy supportive seats if like me you're a lardarse.

Rover 200 series seats are quite nice too.

I think the seats from an old Astra GTE will fit. Also ones from an Escort RS2000 I think I've seen fitted in a Mini.

I had some seats from an old honda civic in mine. Anything that really did recline and had some limber support was welcome.

Here is a pic of my Mini with Mk1 Astra Recaros in, but you need the runners of an Opel Manta and also a bit of welding knowledge to fit, but being 6ft5 it is the best thing I ever did..!! also the seats cost £20 and then I trimmed the rears to match...

Hi Clemstar, could you PM me with a price and what type / colour they are?

Great, cheers.

Thanks everyone else for the advice. I've been having a good look around - there are plenty about, but I need to make sure the price is right...this project is just getting more & more expensive. Bloody weather is making it difficult to push forwards with it too.

Oh I wish I had a garage weeping

There are some nice fabric ones for £65 a piece on ebay, new. They look like my next step. My old seats are falling to bits.
