the fiesta has a 2.1 16V Zetec turbo with 800 cc injectors and a custom inlet manifold, ported head, 3 inch exhaust, custom front mount intercooler, autronic ECU and a T34 turbocharger

I did all the work myself (owned the car 13 years now !!)

its a bit of an animal on full boost - so i drive it on 7psi and it makes nearly 300 bhp at the wheels

its shamed many 'greater' cars - and is quite fun to drive

I mostly use the car to teach people how to map cars these days - but it does get the odd track day - i'd like to do some sprinting and hillclimbing in it when i find the time

Sounds good, thought it would probably be a zetec of some sort but thats still pretty amazing power.

I actually have a 1.9 pug 205gti that I am planning to turbocharge over the winter and compete in the 2.0litre+ road modified class in hills and sprints.

I aim for about 200bhp with similar torque which makes for a very very quick 205, so I have no idea how fast your fiesta must be, 4th gear wheelspim I am guessing! eek

i used to have a 1.9 205 many years ago

a simple trick to get power is to fit the M16 engine and fit carbs - you should get a good revvy engine

on full boost on the road the Fiesta is like driving on ice !! - quite a handfull. you have to adopt a different sdriving style and not apply the right pedal till the wheels are pointing straight. It has a quaife ATB fitted (same as the Noble) which has really helped out

You cant compete with an mi16 though as it was never in the car, forced induction just adds a 40% displacement penalty so you just have to move up a class.

Very impressive work in the Fiesta..must be a real animal...
What comp ratio are the pistons if you don`t mind me asking...must be fairly low with a power fig like that...

yes the fiesta is an animal - Dangerous on 2 bar boost to be honest

I plan to fit mappable boost to it shortly to allow me to run different boost pressure against selected gear / against rpm / and traction control (not sure if i can compete in it with traction control fitted ?)

the compression ratio is indeed quite low - the pistons are my own design with longer rods to improve the rod angle. It runs a specially designed gearbox and the clutch is a modified AP similar to that fitted to the M12. The intercooler is also my own design. It runs 800cc injectors and fuel pressures of up to 100 psi

the suspension is platform adjustable coilovers (bit hard for the road) with camber adjustment. The brakes up front were taken from an escort cosworth with bigger disks and DS2000 pads. Wheels are Compomotive MO's Inside is a rollcage and quite a few gauges

the outside looks relatively standard !

Could this be the ultimate stealth machine. You should paint it black and angle all the surfaces to make it invisible to radar Damned lasers

I had this conversion done. MI16 IN MY 205 c/w twin 45's. Not through choice mind, just that being one of the first (1995) it would have cost a small fortune to have someone work out the looms.

It was savagely quick to 80mph or so, what with fast road everything (and 1.6 gearbox), but gradually more and more cars were getting more power as standard. That said, not many cars weigh less than a ton these days with 200 bhp

Nice Fiesat btw
