My dealer insist that they can do nothing to make the car go faster.

Thought of chipping it but they suggest it would invalidate the warranty.

Does anyone have any ideas?

It would only invalidate parts of the warranty depending on what is classed as consequential to the chip.

You would not be covered if it was a direct cause of the damage, i.e. if it raises the rev limit and the engine blows up!

However, if your suspension snapped there is no way the chip could have caused this and hence a warranty claim should not be invalidated.

Depending what motor you have you may only release 5-10bhp with a chip. Some chip makers claim 20% or 40bhp, but unless you have a turbo these are very rarely corroborated on independent dyno's.

Also, don't forget that most chips are about getting maximum peak power, this does not necessarily mean you will get a faster car, as you may lose some power in the lower ranges.
