Hi Sundeep

Afraid not, I only did the exterior. I finished about 10.30pm and the terrential rain slowed me down a considerable amount.

So how much does just the exterior option cost?

Mine could do with a good machine mop but if I did myself I'd prob. put a hole in the wing.

That looks wonderful on a black car and it's very tempting. However, I have a silver (Polar) car and I've never seen a 'detailed' silver car to get any impression of how it looks. I have a feeling it might be a lot less impressive, but would appreciate any advice and/or pictures. Thanks in advance!

I reckon yellow would really 'work' if it was well detailed. But, what's wrong with getting some Zymol HD Cleanse and Carnuba wax and doing it yourself? It's remarkably theraputic.

my wife already moans when i spend more than 2 hours cleaning my cars then cant be bothered cleaning hers.

a whole day waxing would leave me in the doghouse.

Besides, she wont even know what the guy is doing...I will tell her he is repairing the paintwork...

I've been thinking about this question of what sort of finish you might expect on a silver car - presumably it wouldn't end up quite as reflective as that lovely black gloss? If it did, it might look as though it had been chromed! yikes

I'm still hoping someone has a picture of a well-detailed silver 911 - I can't believe no one has had it done!?

I like your thinking

So the sixteen hours I spend when I give mine a 'proper' clean would see you sleeping outside for an entire week?

What I'd like to know is how long it stays looking like this if you use the car regularly????? Maybe I need to start a thread asking just this...

I know from my own experiences with Zymol (and Zaino too, for that matter), once you've taken the time to prepare the paintwork and to do the initial polishing, it scrubs up pretty much the same after a quick wash and application of Zymol Field Glaze (or Zaino Z5, or whatever detailing fluid is appropriate for the products you use).

Carnauba wax needs to be topped up periodically, but I'd have thought that it shouldn't be too difficult to spend a couple of hours once a month, or once every other month, doing that yourself once the initial hardwork has been done.

Prestige,

Just had a look through your website. You do some great work - very tempted to get my car done.

However, (not trying to be funny but just helpful) you may want to check the spelling on your website. It's "Lamborghini" and not Lambourgini.

Cheers.

Thanks, Prestige - very helpful (and VERY nice!). I must get myself organised to have one of those jobs done on my P'nJ.
