Does anyone know what the demand and therefore aprox value for TVR's in Australia happens to be? I am leaving to go to Sydney in a month or so and am selling my Griff 500. Due to lack of interest over here in the UK I am considering paying the transport / import costs and taking it with me to sell in Aus. I have very little info to go on although I did find a 98 Chimaera for sale with 16,000 kms on the clock going for $100,000 (£38,000!!!). If anyone has any idea on aprox prices or knows of any good Aus car web sites then please let me know! Thanks! Lee

Well try checking aussie car auction/sales sites like Carsales.com.au or Drive.com.au. At Carsales they've only got one there a 1998 Chimaera convertible for AU$ 99,990. About the demand I haven't seen more than one in Adelaide and your everyday car buyer has never heard of them unless they have Gran Turismo. TVR's aren't a highly rated sports car here due to them being so rare and not that well marketed. Car Buffs will think a bit different.

The high levels of import duty are the reason for the rarity and the high prices. See http://home.iprimus.com.au/rstitt/westerntvr/ for Ozzie Tivs.
