Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get to the bottom of the problem of my reverse lights not working, and have been testing the circuits - the bulbs are OK, and getting a very slight voltage when reverse is engaged and the iginition on, so I'm figuring the switch is Kaput.

Does anyone know where the reverse light switch is on the 944 - I've seen a couple of likely cadidates on the transaxle, but would rather not disturd something that doesn't need disturbed if you know what I mean?

Cheers,

Fatboy

I'm a muppet.

The fuse had blown (rear wiper had blown it).

I only discovered this after locating the switch (covered in gunk) and took it all to bits.

For reference, the reverse light switch is located just to the right of the fuel filter on the gearbox (about 2 inches behind the offside driveshaft on the top of the gearbox). It's a bit of a bugger to get at, as the filter and the driveshaft get in the way, but it's no big deal - be easier if you've got smaller fingers than me though

Well, at least I've cleaned everything up down there

Just need to find a new fuel pump cover, as mine's on it's last legs (rusted to inside!!!)
