Just taking a break from caning my new toy to say hello. There's now a lovely 997C2S sat cooling down outside my house..!!

There are so many reasons why I shouldn't have bought the car:

1. I could've bought a sensible car (and a house..) for the same price
2. I'm financing part of the car so it'll actually end up costing me about £8.3 million
3. It depreciates so fast that by the time I've finished writing this sentence it'll be worth £6.99
4. The fuel consumption is so bad I also had to buy half a Saudi oil field
5. I live in central London so the car will never get out of second gear
6. I can't actually park it anywhere because some chav will want to key it
7. Because I drive a Porsche everyone now automatically thinks I'm a tosser banker (sadly that bit is true...)

However, there were only two reasons why I had to buy it:

1. It's a Porsche
2. It's a Porsche 911

Feckin' love it..!!

Hope to meet some of you guys at the odd track day, Vmax, social type do. Anything happening around London soon?

Apart from the final section of point 7 - welcome to our world it seems you will fit in nicely hehe

You have just missed the latest London session (last Saturday) but there are some really nice chaps about trying to arrange some laughs - check out the Dublin hoon thread (brilliantly written I thought - the man must be a genius) and also check out www.dubloon-hoon.co.uk something completely different but equally brilliant

Cheers fellas,

Sounds like a missed good'un on Saturday.

I may be a banker (don't hold that against me..) but don't worry - the car is neither a Tip nor convertible...

Originally from Scandiland (hence the name) so driving style is a bit 'sideways'... sounds like I'll fit in nicely..! thumbup

You guys all obviously know each other but whats the general age range/background on here? Not too keen on supping bitter talking about 'the War' or drinking imported Japanese lager from a bottle with a bunch of 20yr olds...

Me: 30yr, banker, London based, married (totally under the thumb), 997C2S.

Ireland sounds very tempting...

if you are looking for real ale drinkers, beards and sandals then you need a 993 mate.

Us 996/997 drivers are all good looking, loaded and in the prime of life

and generally brow beaten, under the thumb and skint in equal measure

as I said you will fit in nicely

Most of us are probably somewhere between the two extremes....

We're a quite good range heights too if that helps.

Notice how I didn't mention any names

In my local they won't serve bitter to under 50s...

Then again all BMW drivers get a free cocktail umbrella in their lager.
