Ok, I surrender to the might of Porsche, when are the increases going through? I know it's going up to £895, but 3 calls to 3 different OPC's have given me dates from last Friday, through 1st November to 30th November confused

Big increase?

Didnt BMW's go from 750 to 1995?

You can renew it early.

Can one renew it early? I was thinking of doing so to sell my turbo with 18 months warranty rather than 6.

As far as price goes, that's a good question about it being the same price throughout the range. It seems wrong to me that a 420bhp supercar should cost the same amount as the ordinary ones. After all, non GT2/GT3/Turbo models have far more problems and must cost far more in warranty claims

Yes, I renewed mine early, and cover started when the old one finished.

When I bought the GT3 it came with the 1st years extended warranty that the previous owner had got from an OPC. The previous owner had bought in April, & it didn't kick in until November. So maybe 6 months?

Oh now had the 1st OPC confirm increase date as 1st November.

So who would I contact to extend it? My local OPC or Reading?

You are partly right - a M3 / Z3 went from 700 odd to 1050 (sub 60k minles) plus 250 excess for each claim - higher than 60k is £1800 plus the 250.

Not sure for M5s but its A LOT of money.

An increase of 80 quid is nothing, beleive me.

Are they changing the terms like BMW did - charge more, cover (even) less ?

iirc the csl is still just short of 2 grand for a warranty with an excess

Only if over 60,000 miles (£1850) - same bracket as my car, I know the costs as I've paid the higher rate this year.

I wouldn't complain my good friend compared to M powered cars its an absolute bargain.
My M3 renewal was a £1050 with £250 excess had my car had 60k on the clock the figure would have been £1800.
Unlike the Porsche warranty there is no 120 point check you can do to get it renewed if it runs out either.
Service costs are a fortune replacement parts even worse.
Not one of my wisest moves.

Any OPC, makes no real difference, they have all details on a central system anyhow.

If it's over 60,000 miles I think the price is £1850. HTH

I just got mine however i was a bit disappointed that all they send you is a warranty booklet and they print your name on the inside cover. Plus they got my name completely wrong!
