To fit Cherry Bombs you will have to do one of two things:
1). Get a set built up. I believe the only company that produces these are Blue Flame. I know there was a custom set made up for Paul Dodds, not sure how much it cost him though.
2). Find a company to cut open your existing set and fit some cherry bombs in to it.
The conversion for the V8 is quite comomon. I'm not sure if they do one for the V6s.

Mine is a V8 and I had a 'cherry bomb' type conversion on mine, sounds awesome 
IMHO Offords in Cambridgeshire did it for me I drove up and they did it in 3 hours, might be worth asking them if they can do the V6 exhaust? If you can get a local garage to cut open the box take out all the wadding and put in a straight pipe, that will make it sound more mean, might be a simpler option?

Stop me if I'm wrong but "Cherry Bombs" I understood were a particular make of silencer developed in the 50's, they were always painted Red and looked like a motorcycle silencer and were always straight through. The original company who made them no longer exists.
Cherry Bombs, ie. copies of them, are still made but by other companies, search on Ask or Goggle and there are plenty of references to them.
In the late 50's when I was into building Ford Specials this was a standard , must have item.
Beware though, putting them onto a V6 or V8, whilst sounding awesome can do damage by Back Pressure and a few other Black Art things to engines that have been a subject on this Forum before.

You are correct about cherry bomb being the make, mine is a 'cherry bomb' type conversion. Normally the silencer wadding is taken out and a straight through pipe put in and although it can sound great on some cars it can sound tinny at times Im told? What Offords do (im told) is the same only they pad around the straight through pipe in order to give a cherry bomb type noise?? Have a listen to mine on my webpage? On the V8 this doesnt affect the performance of the exhaust at all, not completely sure about V6 although I thought I heard that ths back pressure thing was not entirely accurate, could be wrong?? Speak to Offords, they are good guys and will give good advice, was only around £140 IIRC, result

I didn'yt have cherry bombs fitted... just had a system built.. basically two boxes per pipe which were tacked together to stop them vibrating and the whole system cross flowed.
Sounds good but also keeps a good level of back pressure in the system.
