Noble wins LMA Eurosaloons round 13

Well done to Mal DAVISON who won the group A class in a Noble M12 GTR at round 13 of the LMA eurosaloons championship at Oulton Park yesterday (www.lmaeurosaloons.co.uk, www.msttiming.com/result.asp?table=63831rc1ait&round=oultonfosters.gif). Throughout qualifying and the race Mal kept clean in front of the persuing group of ex-works super touring cars. The car always looked composed and gave the impression it could go even quicker. A great day with great weather.

The touring cars aren't anything like the road cars on which they are supposed to be based, one of the biggest difference is where the engine is placed. On the Primeras and the Accords the engines are set low and back into the enigine bay bulkhead creating essentially a mid-front engine layout, the driver is then moved towards where the rear seats would have been. The cost of these cars when originally built would have been much higher than the cost of the Noble, but the Noble was just as impressive.

A start would be incredible as it would require someone half mad to toss 30K Euros at an entry with a car that struggles to last 24 minute races!
