This might be complete tosh but I heard a rumour of a brand new Cerbera next year

Apparently a V8 from PAG is most likely, with the Volvo unit favourite choice.

Anybody know anything?

PAG is Premier Automotive Group - the luxury bit of Ford (Volvo, Land Rover, Aston, and Jaguar)
Apparently the Volvo engine is really good, to be fair.
It's made by somebody like Yamaha (developed for the American market) and is reputedly very tunable and tough.

A 300BHP TVR then? Great rolleyes TVR's are going backwards IMHO So the engine is reliable...... Not what a TVR should be! The new Cerb should have atleast 500BHP to keep up with competition!! Not the outrageous cars they were Im afraid I see TVR looking for reliable boring cars

I'd rather start a company offering stunning cars with a gorgeous soundtrack with a choice of engines, such as a V8 (AJP, LS1) and a Speed 6.... Oh, that is TVR

This may well be bollox, however how much do most of us know about the specifics of any current Volvo V8 engines, I would imagine if it was true the base engine would be modified to some degree in keeping with the companies performance image.

For example look at the Griff and Chim 500 engines knocking out somewhere in the 300bhp region from modified Rover V8s that produced about 160bhp in Auntie's range of cars!
