I have just sold my Rover V8 engine. I intend to replace it with an LS1. I see from the threads that a few GTR run with this engine.

Do they use the standard Chevy engine mounts? Reverse engineering is a lot less time consuming!

Thanks

That would be nice, but no...they use LSx mounts. To mount to a standard SBC chassis, you will need LSx to SBC adaptors. They are available from a number of sources. I purchased mine from Summit Racing. Do not get the aluminium plates (from Street & Performance). They are too thick for the Ultima chassis.

I run an LS6 in a 2005 GTR chassis. Had to completely engineer the mounts for myself, as the parts supplied by f.e. street&performance etc. didn´t fit the engine into an adaequate position AND think about the right oil pan...if your chassis is quite new (2004- ) a corvette y-pan LS Engine won´t fit the chassis you need a camaro f-body....If you have questions on the LS-into a GTR chassis, let me know.. I had to care about that thread 3 months....
