Impending 'War' and Oil Crisis
Discussion
You guys (and gals) may not have thought too much about the possibility of a very serious oil crisis if a long-drawn-out conflict occurs in the Middle East. If this does happen (I hope everyone shows restraint but it could occur) then the world oil markets will be plunged into turmoil. The inevitable result will be much higher petrol prices followed by the inevitable rationing.
Your Griffs, Cerberas, Tuscans, Chimeras, V8 Lotus’s and anything else with an engine over 2 litres is going to become about as popular as William Hague after an election.
Therefore I have a proposition for you all - sell me your (now virtually worthless) big capacity steeds for a knockdown price and I’ll ship them back to the States where they will have loads of Gas at knockdown prices. Actually, let’s all emigrate.
Yours truly,
The Captain
PS The end is nigh

You watch the price of oil if there is a strike in the Middle East (and that's almost certain). I hate to be the harbinger of doom but there is a good chance we are going to see some pretty empty roads before long.
Actually, during the last 'petrol crisis' (which doesn't compare to the real thing such as in the 70's) the last vehicle I had to hand was a rolling environmental disaster of a 70's Ford F100 pickup that has a 7.6 litre Caddy V8 with sidepipes and serious smokin' attutude. Also holds a petrol stations' worth of gas. However 6 mpg meant that it wasn't going for long.......but what a laugh.
Truly,
The Captain.
