Whose car is the red '720' GTR and do they post on here?
That is one helluva car!
Went over today to Donington but didn't arrive untill gone three and missed most of the cars. I'm curious about the reliability, build costs and maintenance costs / locations. Am sorely tempted for next year but have no time, (or skill), with the old spanners.
Perhaps someone could kindly point me in the right direction.

The 720 is the factory demonstrator.
Sorry you missed us. Many of us had 3 hour journeys to complete.
If you want to buy rather than build try the Pistonheads classifieds. I believe one of the delightful yellow ones in the above pictures is currently for sale.

Thanks for the girdle. I will see if Gail at AS deems it essential for a prolonged 7000rpm run.
Thankfully, most of the dust blew off on the way back. I'll only do that event next year if they sort out the tracks, or stick us ont the front.
Mike, Keith, Gary, Greg, great little convoy we had going on there. Keith, think you have some sort of throttle problem though. Your car tends to suddenly speed up for no apparent reason all the time?????

Just gotta say what a great day, nice to meet everybody, well nearly, suggest next time possibly PH name tags so we know who you are, and who to avoid. Nah only kidding, great bunch, Twas my first real run out in the Can Am and boy didnt want to stop driving her, just perfect,and what a day for it. The car has reached my every expectation and more, and must say a big THANK YOU to Clive, Andy, Wayne, and Mark for putting up with my phone calls and mythering, but hey, got there in the end.

Just what I was thinking on the way home!
Great to meet you all again. Just as well we left early. I suspect the dust would have been a lot worse once all the cars started to leave.

That convoy we had on the way up reminded me of the team cycling event. You know, the one where the lead is constantly changing

Nothing wrong with my throttle as you well know, I just thought you was after my sandwiches, so I had to get away

And as for breaking the speed limit, never, I had my cruise control set at 70

I enjoyed myself going round the off-road course for free. Was tempted to drive up the embankment in front of the dakar marquee, as apparently two others had tried and failed (not in Dakars) - but the spectacle of making a tit of myself in front of several hundred people persuaded me not too..
Not a bad show overall, but not a patch on stoneleigh.
i noticed know-one had their boots (bonnets?) open for us all to have a gawp inside (sunday pm)

At least one was open nearly all morning but you only had to ask.
