yes it costs a packet to run

yes I am constanly parnoid the engine will grenade itself resulting in a huge bill I cannot afford

yes some people do not like them or the drivers who use them

yes the (ahem) leaks at will

and yes the OPC will try to shaft me come re-sale time

BUT.....I absolutely love my car. it makes me laugh every time I ask Scottie for wharp factor 9, it gets more beautiful every day and unless my financial situation heads south I cannot ever imagine owning any other car.

Lets hear three cheers for Porsche - the world would be far more boring without them whatever shape or size yours is

( there you go Fids )

I agree although my running costs are cheaper then my last car (Honda s2000) , cheaper insurance, cheaper tax, cheaper on oil and same on petrol. In fact it cheaper than my pug 205 beater to run at moment (hope i haven't spoken to soon) :-)

Yay!

I love my 996...

It might be a bargin bucket 996 C2 but the world would be a duller place without them!!!!

Who cares how much it costs - depreciation is nothing compared to the amount I burn in fuel and love every second of it!

I think you are doing your fine steed a mighty injustice. IMHO there is no such thing as a bargain bucket Porsche

......... OK under intense cross examination you have discovered the fundamental flaw in my evidence - the ones with the VW engine were a bit cheep - but I am sure there are lots of people out there who love em to bits
