I didn't realise just how quick those things are! WOW!

Bet the guy in the Jag (fat business man - no offence) was thinking "I'll show that TVR fly boy something!".

So what was the conclusion? Can two tonnes of fat cat really demolish a plastic Blackpudlian beasty?

Well, the new JK8 certainly can't waste a blackpool beasty, and the owner did look rather ticked off as he was trying to show off to his mate in the passenger seat at the time!

I, and possibly many other, TVR owners get a bit complacent about performance and where `we` stand - had a good m`way wang with a Jag S-type `R` and didn`t reel it in nearly as quickly as I expected/hoped when he got the jump on me on a clear stretch.......blinkin` quick for a saloon!

The car before the Cerb was a 6-cylinder XJR.

Many a time I surprised a sports car owner (and the odd motorcyclist)

350lb of torque on your Griff versus 399 on the Jag....I think you did well to make any gain on him full stop.

But the Jag is over half as heavy again as the Griff...
