IF you have, does it work smoothly! I have just had the system taken out of my previous car, just about to have it installed into my Sagaris. Any advice welcome on what you think of having it installed ! I have spoken to a few Sound installers about getting it installed, but i would like to chat to someone who has had a this system or a similar system installed in their TVR SAGARIS. Thanks :-)

Like the look of the system, and will probably install + IPod interface. Shouldn't be an issue - had a bogle about at the back of the audio slot when putting the IPod interface in last time, plenty of room etc. I had the IPod lead put into the Glove Compartment - easy to do, and a safe place for it.
Take it you are going ahead with it anyway?

I'm pricing and ordering as well - can be installed while the body slot mods are being done in a couple of weeks.
Also 4 point harnesses being thought about/designed.

Where will it all stop? S'pose we max out at 600BHP.....

I have the Pioneer AVH-P5700DVD Motorised DVD monitor it my T350. My mate fitted it for me in about 1 hour. If you get the Ipod box thing you need to fit that in the gap between the dash and the glove box. It is a squeeze to get all the cables in behind..... but with a gentle shove it went in after a bit of fiddling with the wires at the back. Only issue i can see is where you will put the box with the SatNav info... probably best to put that behind the seats and put a wire under the carpets and up through the passenger footwell.

Hope this helps.

I've got one fitted in the Cerbera no problems, obviously this information is of little help to you.

I suggest you give Carl Baker a call, he's the man! He's done plently of installations of TVR's, so he may well have installed a system of some description into a Sagaris.

It'll just be a quick blat down the A3 for you.

I have an Avic X1 fitted to my Sagaris.

It works very well, better than I expected actually. It doesn't wobble and the sat nav is spot on and good for the whole of Europe on one CD. It has other very cool if not particularly useful features like a g meter for lateral and regular acceleration!

Only issue is remembering to leave the car parked in 2nd gear otherwise the screen will put itself away and get obstructed by the gear knob. You can of course retract the screen yourself but if you're like me you won't aways remember. It doesn't damage it but the screen just won't fold away properly. Get them to stick the gps antenna in the gap between the rear view mirror and the top of the windscreen. It's a very neat hiding place that Gatwick TVR found for me.

Not sure if you know this, but if your passanger want to watch a DVD while you are driving.... you can earth the handbrake cable and it will work when your on the move. I recommend you do not watch while driving, but when your stuck in traffic it kills some time

Allright, so what do you know about these pink hedgehogs??

I think I'll get this piece of kit in asap, could do with it with the travelling planned both this and next year.

Don't have a Sag but if you intend fitting an ipod interface you would be much better off with an AVIC-X1BT rather than the AVIC-X1R.
