Afternoon!
My car went in to have its first ever MOT at the weekend, couple of things I would like some advice on hopefully someone can help!!
Emission's!! the car was all over the place the guy at the MOT station said it looks like a Oxygen sensor is away!! as the oxygen levels were all over the place! is this correct and has anyone else had issues passing this??
also, he said the car smoked for a bit on Idle, I have never really noticed this but he said due to the soot in the exhaust that it looked like the turbos were away?? is there someway I can check if this is true as the car doesn't drive any different at all.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I've had this problem before.
The last time it was MOT'd I had to take it for a very 'spirited' drive to get the cat nice and hot, then the emissions were spot on.
If you have problems with this, and you are north london give Richard at VeganTune a call. He's a Noble guy and has done all the MOT's on my car.

In that case you definatly have a broken sensor and/OR there are leaks around the turbo manifold.
You are probably suffering from loose nuts, so when you replace the lambda sensor ensure you tighten up the nuts both sides of the turbo.
Either will give you that hunting effect - a Noble shouldn't hunt at all on idle, but lots do, and it is usually down to air getting back into the exhaust and sending the lambda sensor crazy.

My old 2.5l 340bhp upgrade did pass, but it needed a bit of handholding as above.

Sorry to change the subject slightly but what is involved in the factory 340bhp upgrade??

it was available for 2.5's on MBE, just a mapping job IIRC

wow that's over £100 per horsepower, did that include the MBE ECU though?? What Boost did the car run then??
