Some pics . . .
Discussion
Just back from 3 weeks in the US, just about to enter jetlag week . . . a couple of pics from a good few hundred . . . basically straight from the camera apart from crops . . .
Crater Lake - Volcanic Blast Zone - With a nearby forrest fire for smoke
Diamond Lake - A Drying Lakebed of Pumice
Klamath Lake - Very Blue in the morning
Mount Shasta / Desert - Watch out for them snakes . . .
Lake Tahoe from the Nevada Side - Clear 70ft Deep . . .
Mt St Helens blast zone
Desert Road View
Foggy Jellyfish Stranding
Too knackered to look at any more . . .
Despite many lens changes and very dry, dusty and sometimes windy conditions, and living outdoors for 3 weeks . . . I seem to have avoided any internal dust issues (although the camera gear is filthy outside) and managed to get the camera, 3 lenses and my laptop through 'terror' security without any issue . . . plus a tent and a 60 litre 'sac of gear . . . stoves, cooking gear . . . seems very sad being back in a house tonight . . . although the indefinately long hot shower is a bonus ;-)
More soon . . .

Brilliant pics those. Well done. What camera/lenses/filters did you use?
No matter hhow extraordinary the scenery I can never get pics like that straight from the camera.

Only one pic has an ND grad filter on, the others are unfiltered, all with 12-24 lens or 10.5 fish.
