Tyre losing pressure
Discussion
Recently noticed my nearside rear tyre was losing pressure - roughly 2-3 psi per day.
Thought it must be a slow puncture, so just kept topping up the pressures regularly.
Couple of weeks ago changed both rear tyres (they only had 3mm left anyway) Wasn't there when the tyres were changed (mobile tyre fitters did it at my gf's house while I was at work) so didn't bother checking the old one for nails/screws/etc.
Now the new tyre on the same wheel is losing pressure again, at about the same rate.
Can't believe I've got another puncture in the same tyre. Is it possible it's a dodgy valve?
Any advice or similar experiences gratefully received.

First off get hold of the fitter and ask if they changed the valve (they often do), then you need to think about the rim - if it has been badly kerbed on it's edge (where alloy meets rubber) they can leak there. Best bet is probably to take it to a specialist tyre and wheel refurb place and see what they reckon (should be free to get it checked).
Good luck!

Try giving it a bottle of the puncture repair foam - and before anyone rolls their eyes in disgust at the thought of treating a high performance tyre so, I can tell you that, out of desperation, suffering the same problem in my Gallardo in the middle of the Spanish plains, did exactly that! Hey presto, problem fixed and no adverse effects at all, in fact I forgot I had done it and ran the car for another year without noticing any problems - track days and all! Best £5 ever spent!
I had a tyre constantly but slowly, losing pressure over a few days. Tried new tyres, c/w valves, checking for punctures etc etc. Turns out that hard cornering etc must have led to air escaping, although when the tyre was off the car and leak tested it was ok, hence we couldn't find what was wrong.
Ended up that my 'cup' alloy was had a bit of corrosion inside that was preventing the tyre sealing correctly. The tyre fitter cleaned up the area inside the wheel with a wire brush and bingo, problem cured. I was made up 'cos it had been a right saga.
