It's time to insure my Renault again.....The M400 went up by £300 over last year. The Renault was insured with NU Direct, they didnt send a reminder and are now no bidding it. The cheapest quote i can get is four times as much.....................whats going on.

I heard on the radio last week that all car insurance is set to increase by 40% are things about to get very silly.

It's only increasing by 40% for young drivers (17-25 I think). Can't wait to see what my next insurance quote will be. 'young male living in Essex' so clearly that means im going to drive a 1.1 Nova with Halfords spoiler into a tree.
If its only for your Renault i'd give Elephant a go. They were ok for me.

Would you believe my best quote came from privilege (£450) for a 2002 2.5 M12. I have to admit I live a reasonable area, 40ish and lots of no-claims but no harm in trying. If not then First Alternative (part of Esure) have been very good up to this year.

I found Privelege / A-Plan were about the same, but Privelege wouldn't offer any NCD from my (previous) company car. Tesco weren't far off in fairness.

Yes, they use the same quoting engine as Direct Line as far as I know (D. Line are the only ones I can get to quote a reasonable price).
