Diagnostic socket on M12?

Quick question as a mate is at a trackday NOW (!) and his M12 is playing up. Does anyone know where the diagnostic socket is?

What do you think you are going to plug in it? It's not ODBII (or whatever the standard is) anyway.

Have a tech mate around with the usual box of tricks. If not OBD or whatever he may struggle, at a guess. Thanks. I'll let him know.

you may have to trace it from the ecu mate.
Insode the panel in front for the rear wheel, drivers side.
it may be up near the power steering tank.
There is also a chance that if it's an independent upgraded ECU it could be wired into the cockpit, possibly in the passenger footwell behind the panel.

Pretty sure the connector on mine was zip tied to the chassis member directly behind the driver under the clam.

Isn't the MBE password protected though? (Obviously not an issue if the ODBII diags can show the prob anyway).

What problem is he having as often the lads on here can diagnose most issues based on a good description.

As said, no need to hunt for the socket (DB9-pin I think) - stand by the power steering reservoir - it should be strapped to the tubing to the right in plain view.
