Building an Ultima in a single garage......................

Don't intend building mine in a single garage but for anyone who has no other option, what about one of these contraptions?????

You don't need it.
Early on you will have the chassis upside-down to skin it but at that stage it can be turned over by 2 people or even on your own if you are clever about it.
Later on the underside of the pods are riveted on the underside but this is done with the chassis on the dolly.
Other than that there is little else you need to be underneath for.

Was thinking more that it could help if the car could be held on its side for assembly, until it got to final stage of fitting engine and gearbox, thereby giving more room on the sides to move about in a cramped single garage.

Most of the work you'll need to do will involve the car being the right way up. So as Steve says, I doubt it would be of much help.

They're pretty handy things if you're into resoration though.
