I need to replace front shocks on my 993. Any recommendations? They seem pretty expensive, so may as well pay a bit more and get some good ones. Also need discs and pads.

Also, I need new back-boxes as mine are on their last legs. Not sure whether to go for sports boxes, but somehow I feel that I should keep my 993 standard in this respect. Any thoughts / suggestions? I hear that RSR offer a good option.

Hi there..seem to remember that porsche do a lowering kit with shocks and springs....for around £600-00 but if you bought standard ones it was a fortune.....go figure you go for a 20mm drop and its cheaper....

Found it £400 plus v.a.t sports suspension.

As far as exhausts go you can either have some sports exhaust but some on the market are very droning at speed on long motor way runs...

Thanks. The sports upgrade sounds like a good idea. I noticed that Koni sports shocks are so much cheaper than the standard shocks, but what else will I need to fit these? (ie springs etc).

Anyone had any experience with the RSR mufflers... do they have that problem with that annoying droning?

The kit is from porsche and i think shocks are koni....you get springs with it thats all you need but also a full 4 wheel alignment after about 24 hours of fitting to allow for settlement.

I changed all four discs and pads on mine not long ago. Using genuine Porsche parts thats discs, pads, wear sensors and calliper bolts etc it came to £500. Thats just parts remember I changed them myself it's not hard to do.

As far as exhausts go, you can't go far wrong with RSRs. They make the car sound the way you expect it to.

Just received the RSRs, fitting that on Sat. Full brake disc and pad replacement kit on its way for around £350. By the way, I got hold of the M033 from PCGB for £400 +vat. Bargain!
