we don't need a demo in 30mph zones with children around

thats you V1 GTO and not for the first time in Burghfield

yes it sounds nice, I had an early Noble a few years ago, but just because it goes at a fair old speed you need to bear in mind that there is a time and a place

book some trackdays and get it out of your system

and you nearly took the nose off my GT3 this morning

one further thought which might influence you...at 30 everyone will look and think what a decent car you have ( it looks and sounds great), at 60 they will all think something along slightly different lines....

I think it's far to say the 30mph through most villages like that is fast enough. When we do our occasional hoons around Essex it's always speed limits though villages.

1) I was not traveling over 30 miles per hour. Unless you have facts I suggest you do not post here.

2) You looked down the road at my car then pulled out of the drive. Not a very inteligent thing to do.

3) My lights were on, if you have problems seeing cars with their lights on at 30 mph then I suggest that you get your eyes tested.

4) I do not drive over 30 miles per hour in the village I live in. I also do not pull my car out in front of my neighbors.

5) I have held a racing license since my 8th birthday. I do not need to do a track day to "get it out of my system".

6) The 'noise' of a car is not propotional to it's speed.

I find it such a shame that people use piston heads for this kind of thing, clearly without actually having facts.

Piston heads has a 'no name, and shame' policy, for this very reason.

I beg to differ....you may have had a race licence since the year dot but I can judge 30 mph....had it been a one off I would not have mentioned it ( this is the first critical post I have ever made) ....but there you go, I suspect we can let it rest now as we evidently disagree.

We disagree because I was looking at the speedo when I exited my drive. It was 30 mph.

I have the facts, you have conjecture.

This matter is now closed.

It's a long drive scratchchin .....

What I meant was I exited from my drive and accelerated to 30mph.....

Stop being so picky :-)

Ah, but I have to brake half way down or I'll miss my garage, and if I were to go fast everything would vibrate like mad, unscrew and I'd be left with a pile of bits....after I'd walked back and collected them all! Not that my car takes up much road...unlike some big bright motors hehe

No supercar is a match for an East End minicab for speed down the highstreet anyway.

yes I has a black 2.5 litre car, May 02 reg

so you know who I am and where I live!

enough said, I retract the point about track days unreservedly, an unecessary comment with the benefit of hindsight

Nice to have an ex-nobler just down the road.

No doubt we'll bump into each other soon ! (metaphorically speaking of course !)
